Vernon Auld

Vernon L Auld, 74 of Colcord, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021.  He was born on April 27, 1947, to Joseph “Bill” and Agnes “Idabell” (Dunham) Auld.  He graduated from Hughes High School in Lindsey, OK in 1965.  On September 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Martha Ince.  Together they raised 4 children.  Vernon did many jobs through out his career.  He was a mechanic, a welder, and more recently a pastor.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, processing deer, and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife Martha of the home, children: Samuel Auld, Derwin Auld, Marketa Bowling, and Melanie Auld, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two bothers: Jerry Auld and Ed Auld.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David “Wayne” Auld, sisters: Mildred Reed and Karen Lane, great grandchildren: Brendan and Grayson Cozart, and daughter in law Brenda Auld.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Jay.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Orchard View Church, 242 W Orchard Rd, Colcord, OK 74338..  Interment will follow at Row Cemetery.
