Rosa Lou Newman, 92 year old lifelong Jay resident, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Rosa was born in Jay on March 29,1929 to Gerald and Lora (Smith) Fox. On June 30, 1951 she was united in marriage to her soulmate James Newman and together they raised three children. Rosa was an active member of the Jay First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Group. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and being with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband James Newman, son Mark Newman and wife Ningwen Chen of Oklahoma City, daughter Amy Newman of Jay, grandchildren: James Roy Newman II, Ashton Newman, and Yijin Liang, and one sister Nancy Mouser of LaCrosse, WI.
