Nettie Brewster

Nettie Elnore (Carson) Brewster, age 75, passed away with her two daughters by her side December 9, 2021, at her residence in Grove, Oklahoma.

Nettie was born on December 3, 1946, in Mannford, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Albert and Rado (Luke) Carson. She was an outstanding basketball player and was in the graduating class of 1965 from Mannford High School. Nettie worked as dispatcher for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad which she later retired from before pursuing other career choices. She always enjoyed working and never knew a stranger. She was a master of all trades from owning her own Antique store, obtaining her Real Estate license, working at Tulsa Fair Grounds and the HardRock Casino, in Catoosa, Oklahoma. She met many lifelong friends along the way. Nettie enjoyed living on the lake, water skiing, playing softball, going to the casino, flea markets as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Nettie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Rado Carson, sister Joan Wagner and her brother Jesse Carson. She is survived by her two daughters Kayla Mann and husband Steve of Grove and Christie Blount and husband Gerald of Edmond, two sisters; Dottie Maple and Jeweldean Stigall, and her brother Johnny Carson. Nettie was blessed with five grandchildren; Nettie Jo Jay, Raegan Danks, Jessica Luker, Jarrod Langsam and Andrea Woodson, four great grandchildren; Skylar Luker, Emma Jay, Oliver and Archer Danks.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Ray Burgess officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
