Jan Owens

Jan (Sorrels) Owens, 79-year-old resident of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Jan was born on May 10, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of Fred and Vera (Elston) Sorrels. Jan was an avid gardener, she enjoyed spending time on her porch just enjoying nature.  She was always ready for a game of pitch or farkle and could always put a smile on your face with her good sense of humor.  Jan enjoyed taking care of people and worked as a registered nurse.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her two daughters: Jennifer R. Snow and Jodee L. Brown, both from Grove, Oklahoma, her sister Judy A. Hicks of Tulsa, OK and her half-brother Jeff Lawson of Enid, OK and.  Jan was blessed with three grandchildren; Jasmin Brown, Kylie Jarvis and Keaton Snow, and six great grandchildren; Alii Phillip Tecumseh, Tayse William Tecumseh, Dartagnan Jarvis, Gwendalyn Jarvis, Emslee G. Brown and Aurora J. Brown.
