James Cameron

August 10, 1943 — August 10, 2022

Grove

James Milton Cameron was called home too soon, his Lord took him on August 10, 2022 he passed in his home with his daughter standing by his side. He was born in the Fall of 1943 on October 19 to James Cameron, and Loraine Kachok Cameron (Jenson) in the town of Milton, California. James met and fell in love with JoAnn Mark, and they had one daughter together. James both attended and was a member of Cornerstone Stone Baptist.

James was always active, and family and friends were always trying to get him to slow down in his older age, but they never could. He always loved to bring laughter and joy to anyone he could and would often go down to the American Legion to have coffee and talk with his fellow Americans.

James loved to tinker with many different things and one of the things James loved most to tinker with was his classic trucks, it really didn’t matter the make or model just as long as the truck was old enough not to have any fancy electronic parts. James was a collector of all kinds of items, if he could think of a use for them, chances would be he would want to find a way to keep them. Of the many items, James had a passion for collecting was any type of fishing gear, although he did love to fish, he would often find himself often too busy to be able to make time for it. Another major passion of James was photography he was an avid collector of all kinds of cameras and loved to take pictures of just about anything he could  When it came to family James had a love for his daughter, and grandchildren beyond this world, the only other thing that could come close were his three dogs, Houdini, Lady, and Dovey. James will be greatly missed by his daughter, his numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as all his friends at the American Legion, and the entire community of friends that he had built up while he lived in Grove.

The family requested in lieu of flowers to donate to a veterans charity in his name or plant a tree.

He is survived by his daughter Jolynne Spivey, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his fur babies Houdini, Lady, and Dovey

James is preceded in death by his parents James and Loraine Cameron, JoAnn Mark the love of his life, and his dog Deitra.

The American Legion will host a memorial service at a later date.

Services are under the care of Worley-Ellis funeral home in Grove
