Wanda Lucille Floyd Rowe, 86, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Wanda was born at home on February 16, 1940, to B.V. and Ruby Floyd in Lelia Lake, Texas. Her grandmother Alice Floyd helped deliver her. She grew up in Borger, Texas, and graduated from high school in 1958. Wanda attended Hardin Simmons University where she met Norman Burgess whom she would marry and share 2 children, Leisa and Brad. Wanda was a wonderfully gifted pianist and shared her talents in the music ministry throughout churches in Texas and Oklahoma.
Wanda was highly successful with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She started in sales and worked up to becoming a director. She earned a pink Cadillac which she drove with pride.
Wanda was a woman of many talents. Besides being an accomplished pianist, she could sew, cook, make friends easily, and sell Mary Kay to anyone! Her infectious laughter brought joy to all.
In 1995 Wanda wed Fred Rowe. They were happily married until his passing in 2012.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, son Brad, former husband Norman, husband Fred, and son-in-law Greg Grodhaus.
Wanda leaves behind her daughter Leisa Grodhaus of Lubbock, TX; grandsons Zachary Burgess of Spring Hill, TN; and Clint (Lauren) Kidd of Philadelphia, PA; great-granddaughter Ellie Kidd; brothers Bill (Holly) Floyd of Lenexa, KS; and Mike (Nancy) Floyd of Frisco, TX; former daughter-in-law Amy (Roger) Spring of Oklahoma City, OK, whom she always considered family; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank The Village Healthcare Center in Broken Arrow, and Choice Hospice in Broken Arrow for their love and extraordinary support in taking care of Wanda. Graveside service private. Burial provided by Worley Lugenbuel Funeral home. Grove, OK.
