Troy Clay Birdsell “GG” sadly passed away on October 22, 2025, in Vinita, Oklahoma at the age of 40.

Troy Clay was born on July 6, 1985, in Miami, Oklahoma to Jody C. Birdsell and Portia Lynn Brewster. Troy attended school in Grove, Oklahoma, and was a resident of Grove most of his life. Troy was a loving and kind soul who never met a stranger. Everyone Troy met was his friend. He touched every single person he met with his thoughtful and kind heart. Everyone knew he would often be spoken of as “the guy that would give you the shirt off his back” and often he did just that, Troy truly had a heart of Gold and a deep passion for Art and Music. He loved playing the guitar. He was self-taught often playing Nirvana. He always loved the Beatles to Elvis to Alice N Chains, AC/DC, Kiss, Korn, Marilyn Manson to 2 pc Shakur, there are just too many to name. He always dreamed of having a band of his own and he named that band PURPOSE. Troy loved drawing and making art, writing poetry, reading astrology, he knew everything about the zodiac signs also studying the history of music. As a child, Troy loved Ninja Turtles, New Kids on the Block as he got older, he loved BMX bike, skateboards, swimming and diving and riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers. Troy was a certified scuba diver. He loved animals but absolutely loved cats.

But most of all and more than everything Troy loved his 4 children. Troy has 2 sons, Trenton James and Gage and two daughters Courtney Marie and Frances Claire. Troy has two grandchildren Avyn Grace and Kyren James and one on the way. Troy made a point to tell everyone he loved them and how awesome each and every person was. He lifted people’s spirits in all his messages and talks.

Troy was preceded in death by 2 loves of his life: Staci Jordan and Dana Blizzard Findley, Grandparents Joe and Nacy Birdsell, Uncle Mark Birdsell, great grandparents Truman and Loretta Robinson, Elmer and Pauline Robinson

Tory is survived by his mother Portia Derose and her spouse Ed Ayres, his father Jody C. Birdsell, grandparents Robert and Linda Decaon, uncles Clinton and Clifton Deacon, sister Nicole Serage and her spouse Nathan, and brother Chance Ward, his cousins; Aron and Sierra Birdsell, Caen Decon and his nieces Gregory, Kendall and Blake Serage and many extended friends and family. Those who knew Troy will miss his mischievous bely laughs and just the crazy fun he always brought when he would show up. The earth lost another pure kindhearted nonjudgmental soul. But heaven gained another beautiful rock and roll angel and his name Is Troy Clay Birdsell…. Rest in Heaven. Rock N Roll through those Gates of Heaven.
