Thomas Robert Noyes, Sr., a beloved minister of the gospel, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born on December 27, 1931, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, a place that marked the beginning of a remarkable journey through life dedicated to faith, family, and service.
Brother Tom served his country honorably as a sergeant in the Army from 1953 to 1956, an experience that further shaped his character and commitment to his community. After his military service, he devoted his life to ministry, touching countless lives through his work as pastor of House of Prayer in Miami, Oklahoma, he also served as a missionary in Bulgaria. Tom attended the Grove Christian Center in Grove, Oklahoma.
Known for his loving and cheerful disposition, Tom possessed a unique ability to share joy with those around him. He loved to tell jokes and had a sweet, engaging personality that made him approachable and endearing. His passion for music was evident as he played guitar, sang, and wrote songs, enriching the lives of many with his melodies and heartfelt lyrics. An avid HAM operator, Tom had an enduring interest in electronics, always eager to learn and share his knowledge with others.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy (Gray) Noyes, of the home, and their four children: Thomas Noyes, Jr. and his wife Mary of Mississippi, Lore Swingle of Grove, Daniel Noyes and his wife Lois of Colorado, and Mark Noyes and his wife Judy of Tennessee. He is also cherished by his sister, Gloria Willyard of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, C.M. Noyes and Goldie (Burget) Noyes; his son-in-law, Dan Swingle (2022); and his grandson, DJ Noyes.
Tom Robert Noyes, Sr. will be remembered not only for his dedication to ministry and family but also for the countless smiles he brought to those fortunate enough to cross his path. His absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
