Sharon Kay Shepherd

Sharon Kay Shepherd, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2024, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born on August 18, 1949, in Eucha, Oklahoma.

Sharon took great pride in her family and her home. She worked as a lab technician in the x-ray department at Afton Memorial Hospital, she helped her husband Frank by keeping the books at Shepherd Dock Construction, she was very dedicated to the records and upkeep at Hickory Grove Cemetery for many years. Sharon was a proud member of the Hickory Grove School House Committee, organizing their annual cake walk and pie supper.   She found the most joy in spending time with her family, creating precious memories that will be cherished forever.
 
She is survived by her loving husband Frank, her children Deann and Martin Willis of Missouri, Calvin Garrett of Fairland, OK, Tamara Garrett and Bob Manes of Grove, OK, Angela Blalock and Chris Lemmon of Afton, OK, Frank and Angie Shepherd of Grove, OK, Jason Blalock of Grove, OK, Amanda Cox and Steve Short of Grove, OK, Starla York of Grove, OK and Trey York of Afton, OK. Sharon is also survived by her brother James Cox of Grove, OK along with 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
 
Sharon is now reunited with her parents J.D. Cox and Wanda (Williams) Cox, her brother Steve Ryan and son Daniel Blalock.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Services are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, June 10, 2024, at both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK.  Sharon will be laid to rest in Hickory Grove Cemetery. 
 
Sharon Kay Shepherd will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her family, and unwavering love for those around her. May her soul rest in peace.
