Roger Glen White, 95-year-old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on April 20, 2023, at Grove Nursing Center.
Roger was born on January 11, 1928, in Springfield, Missouri. He was the son of Everett K White and Lela May (Finnell) White. Roger served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association – he was member #41. Roger built 7 homemade airplanes. He owned and operated 59 Minute Cleaners in Miami from 1967-72, then he operated Roger’s Car Wash with two locations in Miami from ‘72-79. In 1978 Roger and his brother Tom purchased RACO Car Wash Systems, Roger retired in 1988. Roger enjoyed traveling, taking trips with the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club, and was still flying in his 80’s. Roger went out with a smile and a wink.
Roger is survived by his wife Emma Jane (Lucas) White, his three children; Jolene Schmidt and husband Glen of Wyandotte, OK., Jane Daugherty of Blue Eye, MO., and Mark White and wife Margo of Lee Summit, MO., his brother Tom White and wife Robin of Grove, OK. Roger was blessed with four grandchildren; Gabriel (Courtney) Schmidt, Bethany Schmidt, Cassandra Daugherty, and Makenzie Witmaier (Josh), and eight great-grandchildren; Ellie, Walker, George, Rosa, Emmalin, Titus, Grace and Luke, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Martha Nevins.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 am., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Gabriel Schmidt and Mr. Andy Wilson officiating.
