Robert (Bob) Wendell Altmiller died peacefully in his home on November 23, 2025, surrounded by family.

Bob was born in Hereford, Texas and grew up in Ada, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Pharmacy Degree and owned several pharmacies in Oklahoma City specializing in long term care. He was an entrepreneur who loved challenges. He was self-employed and owned an audit company, worked as Chief Operating Officer of a trucking company, built log homes and loved working alongside his wife in several businesses. He was Chairman of the Shangri-La Estates Homeowner’s Association for many years. He was an avid golfer who loved to travel. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose laugh could fill a room. He never met a stranger and was friends with many people. Bob was blessed with a beautiful tenor voice and loved to sing and play the guitar. His love of music began early in life, and he loved all types of music.

He leaves his wife Donna, daughters Lindsey Altmiller-Hester and husband Andrew, of Oklahoma City, Kristin Yoes of Monkey Island, Joanna Combs of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Sophie Combs of Monkey Island and grandson Asher Hester of Oklahoma City. His extended family includes his siter Nanette Eisenhart and husband Henry of Savannah, Georgia, brother Joe (Bill) Altmiller and wife Terri of Springfield, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews, and his mother Bobby Jo Almiller of Savannah, Georgia. Extended family also includes Donna’s sisters Debi Richardson and husband David of Manvel, Texas and Lori Cope and husband Mike of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and numerous nieces.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Wendell Reece Altmiller.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Grove, Oklahoma.

Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, 555 East Third Street, Grove, OK 74344
