Robert Barrett

Robert F. Barrett, 82 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on February 8, 2021 in Joplin, Missouri.

Robert was born on December 27, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He was the son of Lilland Franklin and Jullia Elnora (Riddle) Barrett.  Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957-1960. Robert was a Captain for the Tulsa Fire Department, a member of the Masons -32 degree and the Shriners.  He was known for being quick witted and a little sarcastic.  Robert enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. He made his own fishing lures using lead pot and molds.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife LaBerta E. Barrett and his sister Sandra Lee.  He is survived by his three children; Michael Barrett and wife Tami, Brett Barrett and Carrie Barrett and husband Roger Champion, grandchildren: Christa Barrett, Rikki Barrett, Stephen Barrett, and Heather Champion- Barrett, and great grandchild Peyton Neer-Barrett.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Memorial Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
