Penny Deen George

Penny Deen George, age 60, passed away on May 10, 2023, at her residence in Eucha, Oklahoma.

Penny was born on October 18, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of Kenny and Wilma (Garrison) Shipley.  She was united in marriage to Reed George on February 4, 1988.  Penny enjoyed sketching portraits, listening to music, tending to her flowers, shopping in Branson, collecting trinkets, visiting with her friends, spending time with her family, and she adored her four cats.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings: Kenneth Shipley, Karen Shipley and Paul Shipley, and a step-grandchild, Bart.  She is survived by her husband Reed of the home, her sister Donna Shipley-Owens, three stepchildren: Gloria, Brian, and Tammy, six step grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Jay First Assembly Church in Jay, Oklahoma with Pastor Robert Lokey officiating.  A visitation will be held an hour prior to services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
