Peggy Anne Caswell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Zena, Oklahoma. Born on March 1, 1937, in Farmington, New Mexico, Peggy lived a life filled with cherished memories, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Peggy dedicated 30 years to serving others through her work with the postal service—ten years in Grove and another twenty in Jay—before retiring in 1992. Her strong work ethic and dependable nature earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues and friends. Beyond her professional life, she was celebrated for her exceptional cooking. Peggy delighted her family with her wonderful meals and treasured the family dinners that brought everyone together.
She found immense joy in the outdoors, whether driving around in the gator, picking blackberries, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature around her. Peggy was also an avid reader, finding both comfort and curiosity in the pages of a good book.
A lifelong member of Zena Baptist Church, Peggy’s faith was a steady source of strength and connection. She fostered a sense of belonging within her church community and extended kindness to everyone she met.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Terri Holland (Shane) and Tim Caswell (Heather); five beloved grandchildren, Barry Caswell, Chance Holland, Micah Holland, Trent Caswell, and Rylee Weyrick; and three loving sisters, Eve Mayfield, Sue Cooper, and Marilyn Webster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ester and Ruby (Bible) Keeter; her husband, Brian Caswell; her son, Thomas Caswell; two brothers, Donald Keeter and Tommy Keeter; and a sister, Louise Keeter.
