Norma Frances “Fran” Holstein, 85-year-old resident of Grove, passed away on June 28, 2023.

Fran was born on October 18, 1937, in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was the loving daughter of the late Edward Pearl and Goldie Gertrude (Jackson) Patrick.  Fran owned and operated Ewe and Me Needlework’s located at 10th & Broadway in Grove, and for many years, she taught classes and sold her many handmade knitted crafts. She was a very talented seamstress, making numerous costumes over the years for the Playmakers. Fran loved her poodles, “Knit” and “Purl”. She enjoyed traveling, she was known to have a “lead foot” when going places and she was good at all sorts of crafts.  Fran was always there to help others during their time of need.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Irvin J. “Ike” Holstein, her two sons: Mark Holstein and Richard Holstein, and her sister Sadie Patrick.  She is survived by her grandson Cody Holstein and her nephews Cameron Moch, and Craig Moch and his wife Jamie, nieces Heather Wetta and husband Richard, and Christi Contreras and husband Mike, great nieces, and nephews: Taylor Moch and husband Sean Stephens, Tanner Moch and wife Jessica, Rhianna Valadez and Paul, Brock Contreras, Journey Mosqueda and husband Alonso, Katie Moch, and Cory Moch, great-great nephew Xander Moch, and great-great niece Sunshine Valadez.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
