Mary Lou Johnson, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on January 1, 1931, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to the late Otto Gilbert and Mable Claire (Shankle) Pollock.

Mary Lou married her sweetheart, Billy Don Johnson, on September 11, 1949, in Jay, Oklahoma. They shared 66 years of marriage filled with cherished memories, family traditions, and joyful gatherings until B. Don went to be with the Lord in 2015. Together, they raised their family in Carnegie, Oklahoma, before retiring and making their home in Grove.

A devoted homemaker, Mary Lou dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her loving and nurturing spirit was especially evident in her devotion to her children, Larry Johnson, Luanne Triplett, and Sherri Wood, who were her greatest joy. Mary Lou was also gifted with many talents and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including water skiing, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

A family celebration will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.

Mary Lou Johnson leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family, which will continue to inspire all who knew her.
