Mary Jo Harding, 64, of Atoka, Ok. peacefully crossed into Glory on October 6, 2023 at the Oklahoma University Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. surrounded by family and the many people who cared for her during her brief stay there and whose lives she touched in so many ways.
Mary was born July 21, 1959 in Grove, Oklahoma to Billy Lee Harding and Mary Elizabeth Miller-Harding. Mary spent her childhood on the banks of Honey Creek and was raised attending the First Baptist Church of Southwest City, Missouri. She attended grades one thru twelve in the Grove School Systems. She enjoyed listening to country and western music and Elvis Presley, researching the family tree and being a mother to her only child, Ray Andrew Mills.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her father, Billy Lee Harding. She is survived by her partner of 23 years, Roy Mills; their son, Ray Andrew Mills; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Miller – Harding; brothers, William Lee Harding, Jr, James Douglas and sister-in-law Cheryl Harding, and David Eugene and sister-in-law Becky Harding; Sisters, Linda Thompson, Laurel Clark, Sharon Stiles and Rebecca Chuma and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Visitation will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel followed at 2:00 PM by a funeral service, also in the Funeral Chapel with Sam Carper officiating. Burial will be in the Polson Cemetery, immediately following the services.
