Mary Ann Carroll, a beloved pillar of her family and community, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, in Eucha, Oklahoma, at the age of 94.
Born on July 26, 1930, in Kansas to John and Maud (Dunnegan) Warren, Mary lived a life full of love, resilience, and generosity. She was known not only for her deep dedication to family but also for her vibrant spirit and passion for life.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother Mary her heart into nurturing those around her. In her professional life, she ran a second-hand store where she delighted in finding bargains and discovering hidden treasures. With her sharp eye for value and entrepreneurial spirit, Mary built more than a business; she created a welcoming gathering place where customers became friends, and friendships blossomed among the shelves. Her warm smile and cheerful conversations were a hallmark of every visit.
Mary also had a gift in the kitchen, with her enchilada casserole being a family favorite. Her home was often filled with the sound of classic country music, songs that brought both joy and nostalgia and reflected her love for life and its many connections.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Carroll; her parents, John and Maud Warren; her granddaughter, Ava Carroll; and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children: sons Bennie Carroll, Jesse Carroll and his wife Cherlyn, Charles Carroll and his wife Linda, and daughter Carolyn Henderson and her husband Darold. Brothers Gene Warren and his wife Erma, and Johnny Warren. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-children, nieces, and nephews who will carry her memory forward with love.
A family gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jay Chapel of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma.
Mary Ann Carroll will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
