Buzz Gordineer, age 90, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born on July 18, 1935, in Afton, Oklahoma.

Buzz enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially attending horse races and visiting casinos. These activities reflected his fun-loving spirit and brought him much happiness over the years. He was also a great dancer who loved the dance floor, moving with ease from the jitterbug to two-steppin’. Buzz was a hoot to be around, and with him, there was never a dull moment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Calvie (Chandler) Gordineer; his loving wife, Opal, who passed away in 1999; two brothers, William and Ray Gordineer; and one sister, Mary Lou Gordineer. Buzz is survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A burial service honoring Marion Lloyd “Buzz” Gordineer will be held on April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sixkiller Cemetery, located on E 255 Road in Afton, Oklahoma.

Buzz will be remembered fondly and missed by those who knew and loved him.
