Grove

Linda Lou Gregory, 82, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 7, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1942, in Lawrence, Kansas, to David Kropff and Leona Cooper Bowling.

Linda was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and many talents. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother, she built a life filled with purpose and care for others. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Grove and held a steadfast belief in Jesus Christ, which was central to her life and values.

She also believed in serving her community. Linda was involved in the local Republican Party, where she served on the board and actively contributed her time and voice to the causes she believed in.

Her many passions included reading across all genres, sewing, gardening, breathing new life into vintage furniture, collecting vintage Fiesta dishes – which brought vibrant color and joy to her life – and traveling. Her love of travel brought her countless memories and adventures, reflecting her curiosity and appreciation for the world around her. Whether it was a family trip, a weekend getaway, or a far-off destination, she was always up for the next adventure.

Linda is survived by her husband, William Gregory; daughters Mary Fulk (Brad) and Lisa Thorpe (Troy); stepdaughters Lorie Doolin (Justin) and Julie Lawrence (John); and her sister, Betty Wilmoth (Stanley) and sister-in-law Madelyn Kropff. Her loving legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Taylor Deubler (Korey), Brooklyn Fulk, Courtney Lindekrantz (Felix), Morgan Doolin (Aaron Smith), Madison Doolin, Gentry Toman, and Camille Root (Devin), and her great-grandchildren: Tyler Deubler, and Alexander, Aiden, and Alistor Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Kropff and Leona Cooper Bowling, Grandparents; John and Laura Kropff and Earl and Jewel Cooper and her brother, Jerry Kropff.

Linda’s life was marked by creativity, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family, community, and faith. Whether nurturing a garden, sharing a book, or finding beauty in the old and worn, she brought warmth to every space she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and grace that will live on in all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM, on June 20, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Grove, Oklahoma. Lunch will be provided at noon for those who would like to attend.
