Lenora Catherine Sparks, born on July 3, 1950, in Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma. She was a beloved figure in her community, known for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and her heritage.

Lenora had a fruitful career as a bookkeeper, specializing in accounting and taxes for many years. Her expertise and keen attention to detail were well respected by those who knew her work. Beyond her professional life, Lenora took great pride in her Seneca Cayuga heritage. She was actively involved in her tribe, cherishing the values and traditions that came with her background.

As a mother and grandmother, Lenora's love knew no bounds. She was especially proud of her children: Greg Sparks and his wife Shannon, Heather Sparks, Wendy Ellis and her husband Tony, Dakota Sparks, Daitin Sparks, Dheather Sparks and her husband Dalton Pogue, Dethen Sparks and his wife Kedra, Dwendolynn Daisy Sparks, Dylon Sparks and his wife Hailee, Lily Sparks, Doug Sparks, Dunn Sparks and his wife Ashley, and Dande Hilton and her husband Denver. Lenora was not only a mother to her own children but also embraced the role of a nurturing figure to many she encountered throughout her life.  She is also survived by her husband Gordon Sparks.  

Lenora's legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren: Maranda Sparks, Taylor Sparks, Sheridan Sparks, Averi Sparks, Inteaus Sparks, AJ Sparks, Caylen Sparks, Logan Sparks, Ethen Sparks, Greyson Sparks, Peytience Logan, Evan Logan, Mia Howard, and Aidan Ellis, along with her 19, soon to be 20, great-grandchildren. Her love for them was a constant source of joy, and they were the pride of her life.

She is survived by her brother, Tommy Whitetree, who shared cherished memories of their lives together. Lenora was preceded in death by numerous siblings who were integral to her life, including Moses Whiteeagle, Hazel Wallace, Christina Stanger, Mary Lane, Gordon Whitetree, Terry Whitetree, Jerry Whitetree, Clifton Rex Whitetree, Margaret Dunning, and Sallie Leaf.

Wake services will be from 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to 2 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Seneca Cayuga Community Building.
