Lavona Pearl Sadd, born on February 22, 1935, in Peoria, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri. She lived a life marked by independence, hard work, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew her.
Lavona worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart, where her warm smile and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression on customers and coworkers alike. Beyond her professional life, Lavona was a woman of diverse interests. She had a cherished collection of pencils, found joy in visits to the casinos, and had a heartfelt love for country music. Known to enjoy a good margarita, she also took immense pleasure in spending time loving on her grandchildren, who were a significant source of happiness in her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Beason and Laura (White) Beason; her brothers, Denzil Beason, L.C. Beason, Don Beason, and Kenneth Runyan; and her sisters, Juanita Byrd, Mary Gordon, Leona Blizzard, and Thelma Fouts.
Lavona leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Sadd, and his wife Angie; her grandchildren, Logan Sadd and his wife Breanna, and Madyson Sadd; as well as her great-grandchildren, Leo and Lawrence Sadd. Their lives were enriched by her unwavering love and dedication.
A funeral service in honor of Lavona Pearl Sadd will be held on April 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Lavona’s journey through life was defined by her remarkable independence and tireless work ethic. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of her warmth and spirited nature will forever remain with those who had the privilege of knowing her.
