Laveta Carol Davidson, age 88, a dedicated mother, gifted musician, and astute business partner, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma. Born on December 25, 1937, in Joplin, Missouri, Laveta lived a life rich in love, music, and family.
Laveta pursued her passion for music, earning a bachelor's degree in music. She possessed exceptional talent, playing the piccolo and flute, which brought joy to many through her performances. Beyond her musical accomplishments, she played a significant role in supporting her husband in running a successful pharmacy business.
Laveta's vibrant personality shone through her nurturing role as a devoted mother. She is survived by her two children, Peter Ruestman and his wife Mannette of Grove, OK, and Pamela Sue Duncan of Waco, TX. She also leaves behind three stepchildren: Robert Davidson Jr. and his wife Terri of Joplin, MO, Leslie Lohse of Joplin, MO, and Leisha Spencer and her husband David of Tampa, FL, her sister Jackie Pearcy and husband Jim of Mena, AR, seven cherished grandchildren: Ashliegh, Bailey, Heather, Heavan, Summer, Layne, and Kristen, as well as 11 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Laveta was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Altha Beezley, and her husband, Robert E. Davidson, who passed away in 2024.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
