It is with profound sadness and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Kristina "Krissy" Buoy, who left us on March 28, 2026, in Grove, Oklahoma, after a tragic house fire. Born on February 3, 1967, in Seattle, Washington, Krissy lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and a deep love for those around her.
Krissy was known to many as a talented event coordinator for the local radio station, where her organizational skills and warm spirit brought countless community gatherings and celebrations to life
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Krissy was a woman of many interests and joys. She had an extensive music collection that often filled her home with melodies reflecting her eclectic taste. She delighted in spending time at flea markets, drawn to the charm of vintage and antique treasures, each piece telling its own story. Krissy found peace and happiness fishing and piloting her boat across the serene waters of Grand Lake, moments that brought her closer to nature and offered tranquility amid the bustle of daily life. Above all, she cherished the quiet companionship of her beloved cats, whose presence brought comfort and joy to her days.
Krissy’s family was central to her life. She is survived by her father, Harold Buoy, and his wife, Patsy; her brother, Keith Buoy, and his wife, Christina; and her nieces—Kelly, Casey, Corey, Nicole, Raechel, and Amber—as well as her great nieces and nephews—Colby, Kaysen, Summer, Kaden, and Carlee and Conner.
Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Krissy was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara (Fox) Buoy; her sister, Kerri Schiable; her brother, Karl Buoy; and a great nephew, Carson.
Kristina "Krissy" Buoy’s life was one marked by kindness, creativity, and a spirited embrace of the world’s simple pleasures. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and enthusiasm, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
