Jean Bohannan

Jean Eloise Bohannan, age 81, Grove, OK. passed away Wednesday March 10, 2021 in Tulsa, OK.

She was a born June 25, 1939 in Nevada, MO. to the late Edmond Gibson and Francis.

Jean was very active in the Grove area community as a volunteer. Memberships were held in the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revelation, Grove Public Library Board, Grove Genealogy Society, Delaware County Historical Society, Police Academy Alumni Association, Volunteer in Police Service, and a Precinct Election Judge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, two brothers, Harlen “Val” Gibson and Charles Gibson; one sister, Joyce Gibson; son-in-law, Chris Weatherred; and brother-in-law, Charles Bergman.

Survivors include, two sons, Jerry E. Bohannan and wife, Theresa, and James “Gus” Bohannan and wife, Kathy both of Grove; one daughter, Janet Weatherred, Grove; one sister, Helen Bergman, Grove; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.

Memorial services are planned for Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at The Grove 1st United Methodist Church. Pastor Randy Hamill will officiate.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
