James “Scott” Humbard passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born on March 23, 1963, in Richmond, Missouri, to James Humbard and Sandra (Wormsley) Young.

Scott was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family. He was married to Pamelia “Pam” Hogshooter, and family was always an important part of his life. He had a great sense of humor and was known for being a jokester and, more often than not, a little ornery. He enjoyed making those around him laugh and bringing a smile to the people he loved. In his free time, Scott enjoyed rock music, old Westerns, cartoons, Star Wars, and Star Trek. He was also an avid football fan who enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Tigers football.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Humbard, and his brother, Joel Young. He is survived by his wife, Pam Humbard; his mother, Sandra Young, and stepfather, Wayne Young; his children, Josh Humbard, Shannon Humbard, Stephanie Shaffer, Sarah Humbard, Andrea Cunningham and husband Jon, Juanita Malone and husband Garrett, Lucas Rovie and wife Tamra, and Rebecca Rovie; his brothers, Jeff Humbard and wife Monica, and Mitch Young; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Rya, Lucas, Landen, Landan, Tayler, Harmoni, Leo, Trevelyan, Isaac, Journey, and Alora.

Scott is also survived by his in-laws, Jesse Hogshooter and wife Teresa, Rhonda Moore and husband Gary, James Hogshooter and wife Sonya, and Amanda Johnson, along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

A visitation for Scott will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Worley Luginbuel chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Also, an additional visitation in Harrisonville, Missouri may be held at a future date.
