George Michael Archer

George Michael Archer, age 64 of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday July 26, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his wife and family as he won the battle against a long-term illness.

Michael was born on March 2, 1961, in Joplin, Missouri to John and Velma Archer. He began his schooling in Joplin schools and through a few moved throughout his youth, he ended his education at Center Senior High School in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mike married Judy Archer in his father’s office on December 17, 2011, she survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, John Archer (Pricilla Miller) of Galena, Kansas, siblings Tom (DeeDee) Archer of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Charles Archer (Rebecca Loper) of Chetopa, Kansas, and Susan Archer (Martin Hagedon) of Granby, Missouri. Mike also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family members.

Meeting “Uncle Mike” was a memorable experience. He greeted every person with a joke and a smile. The stories are legendary. His loss will leave a large hole in many hearts.

He was greeted with love and joy at heaven’s gate by his mother and both maternal and paternal grandparents along with a couple of his favorite dogs and horses.
