Erick Jesus Ruiz Martinez, beloved son and cherished companion, entered eternal rest on December 19, 2025. He was born on July 24, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri, to Valentin De Jesus Ruiz Lagunas and Maria Victoria Martinez Sanchez. Though his time on earth was brief, Erick was a radiant light who captured hearts with his indomitable spirit and infectious joy.

Erick will be remembered as a strong and courageous warrior who faced each day with remarkable resilience. Despite the challenges placed before him, he met every moment with determination and a joy that reminded all who knew him of how precious life truly is. His fierce spirit and quiet hope inspired everyone around him.

He shared a special bond with his stuffed horse, a faithful companion that brought him comfort and happiness. This simple joy reflected the wonder with which Erick experienced the world—one filled with imagination, love, and gentle adventure.

Erick is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Maria Guadalupe Renteria and Jose Amparo Lagunas, and his maternal great-grandparents, Francisco Martinez, Soledad Mora, Salvador Sanchez, and Ofelia Jaime.

He is survived by his loving parents, Valentin De Jesus Ruiz Lagunas and Maria Victoria Martinez Sanchez; his sisters, Valentina Guadalupe Ruiz Martinez and Andrea Ruiz Martinez; his paternal grandparents, Valentin Ruiz Rodriguez and Maria Ruiz Lagunas; his maternal grandparents, Lidovina Sanchez Jaimes and Juan Jesus Martinez Mora; and his aunts and uncles, Emmanuel Ruiz, Maricarmen Ruiz, and Juan Eduardo Martinez Sanchez, along with many other family members who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, located at 711 S. Main Street, Grove, Oklahoma 74344, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the beautiful spirit of this brave young boy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Erick’s honor on December 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located at 1653 113th Street NW, Grove, Oklahoma 74344. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Olympus North Cemetery, located at S 640 Road, Grove, Oklahoma 74344.

Erick Jesús Ruiz Martínez, amado hijo y querido compañero, partió al descanso eterno el 19 de diciembre de 2025. Nació el 24 de julio de 2025 en Joplin, Missouri, hijo de Valentín de Jesús Ruiz Lagunas y María Victoria Martínez Sánchez. Aunque su tiempo en la tierra fue breve, Erick fue una luz radiante que conquistó corazones con su espíritu indomable y su alegría contagiosa.

Le sobreviven sus amorosos padres, Valentín de Jesús Ruiz Lagunas y María Victoria Martínez Sánchez; sus hermanas, Valentina Guadalupe Ruiz Martínez y Andrea Ruiz Martínez; sus abuelos paternos, Valentín Ruiz Rodríguez y María Ruiz Lagunas; sus abuelos maternos, Lidovina Sánchez Jaimes y Juan Jesús Martínez Mora; así como sus tíos y tías, Emmanuel Ruiz, Maricarmen Ruiz y Juan Eduardo Martínez Sánchez, además de muchos otros familiares que lo llevarán por siempre en su corazón.

La velación se llevará a cabo el 22 de diciembre de 2025, de 3:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m., en la Funeraria Worley-Luginbuel, ubicada en 711 S. Main Street, Grove, Oklahoma 74344, donde familiares y amigos se reunirán para compartir recuerdos y celebrar el hermoso espíritu de este valiente niño.

La Misa de Cuerpo Presente se celebrará en honor a Erick el 23 de diciembre de 2025, a las 10:00 a. m., en la Iglesia Católica Santa Isabel, ubicada en 1653 113th Street NW, Grove, Oklahoma 74344.
