Doris “Ann” Anita Griggs was born on February 5, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and passed away on February 19, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Throughout her life, Ann was known for her boundless generosity and selflessness—qualities that endeared her to many and left a lasting impact on her community.

Ann built a dedicated career in medical receptionist, balancing her professional life with a deep commitment to her family and charitable causes. Each holiday season, she found great joy in purchasing toys for children through various charities, brightening countless young lives. Her giving spirit extended throughout the year as she faithfully supported the Samaritan’s Shoebox ministry at her church, ensuring children in need received love and care.

Above all, Ann cherished her family. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, whose laughter and joy were a constant source of happiness. Rarely idle, Ann found fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures—spending time outdoors, traveling close to home, and enjoying scenic drives. Her caring nature and willingness to put others before herself earned her a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.

Ann is survived by her loving children, Janet Mork (John), Brian Griggs (Kate), living in Oklahoma City and Brandon Griggs (Linda), living in Grove; her brothers, Mark Oliver and David Oliver; and her sisters, Mary Powell and Sandy Oliver. Her legacy continues through her six cherished grandchildren: Dylan Mork, Colin Mork, Benjamin Griggs, Matthew Griggs, Hannah Cheney, and Joli Cheney.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Nancy Oliver; her devoted husband, Marvin “Sonny” Griggs; and her sister, Rebecca “Becky” Gammon.

Ann’s life was a testament to kindness, love, and generosity. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
