Connie Rose Saxton passed away peacefully on her birthday August 18th, 2023 in Grove Oklahoma at age 82. Connie was a dearly loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She could light up her room with her beautiful smile, cheerful laugh, radiant spirit, and joyous zest for life. Connie was loving, generous, loyal, and thoughtful with a heart of gold. She made a memorable mark on the hearts and minds of those who knew her and will be greatly missed by all.  

Connie lived her life full of love and kindness with a passion for helping others dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those around her. Along with many church projects, Connie stayed busy as a nursing home volunteer and was a previous member of the Grove women's sorority, also serving a few years as Casa children's advocate. Connie found her church home and became a member of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. Throughout the coming years, she shared one of her passions with the church as a master gardener. She took great pleasure in creating landscapes of blossoms and foliage that expressed her creative and cheerful spirit she was an active member of the church for many years she went on to complete 3 years of education for ministry assisted in the children's nursery served as an acolyte and lay reader as well as layperson serving at the altar.  

The simple pleasures of life brought Connie great joy. She delighted in cooking good food, wine, music, and light-hearted chat that was sure to have you laughing. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles learning the Spanish language, traveling, the arts, history, music, champagne, and chocolate. She had a heart for all animals with a special endearment for elephants. Her dearest devotion was to all the shelter rescue dogs she had throughout her life.  

She was preceded in death by her mother Maxine, father Larry, sister Nancy, and daughter Suzanne 

She is survived by her husband Ben, daughter Diane, daughter Dana, and husband Frank, sister Barbara, son Mike, and wife Carol 17 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

The family has asked instead of flowers for a donation to Grove SPCA.

Connie will be interred at St Andrew's Episcopal Church in Grove, Oklahoma.
