Cody Mcclellan

Cody Kerr McClellan age 27 of Jay, Oklahoma, died Monday, August 2, 2021 in Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The son of Floyd and Holly (Hamilton) McClellan, he was born on July 28, 1994, in Tampa, Florida.  Cody worked as a Child Care Director in the Y.M.C.A. in Grove, Oklahoma.  He loved the YMCA.  He took part in the Disney College Program.  He loved playing basketball and was an avid OU football fan.  He also enjoyed working on his car and playing with his nieces and nephew. Cody attended Northeastern State University earning his bachelor’s degree from 2013 – 2018, in the spring of 2015, he attended Disney College Intern Program, he was a referee for intramural sports while at NSU and played basketball in high school.

Surviving are his mother and father, his grandmother Mary Beth Hamilton, a brother Christopher Horak and wife Robin, a sister Sky Gibbs and husband Trey, nieces and nephew, Raina and Summer Gibbs, age 7, Bradlee and Brilee Gibbs age 2 and special friend Alee Plata.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Camile McClellan, his grandfather Floyd McClellan, grandfather Joe Hamilton, Aunt Jo Lynn Hamilton, aunt Joy McClellan, and uncle Shawn McClellan.

A viewing will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, from 5 PM-7 PM at Bulldog Arena in Jay, Oklahoma.  A celebration of live service will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
