Claud was born on January 31, 1927, in Miami, Oklahoma to Claud H. Lamb and Alfretta (Shipley) Cauthon-Lamb. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 21, 2023, at the age of 96.
Claud grew up in the Miami-Afton area and after graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country in World War II. After leaving the Navy in 1946, he met and married the love of his life, Lula Mae Roy on February 10, 1951.
Claud was a plumber, pipe fitter and a member of the Pipefitters Union until he and Lu retired at their lake home in Grove, Oklahoma. Claud was such a great man of Faith and loved is Lord dearly. He was the best father and provider for his family. He loved to fish and take all the family out on his boat. He was a great Godly example of what a father should be. He and Lu were married 70 years until her death in 2021. Claud was very active in the churches he attended. He always tried to be a great witness for the Lord. He will be missed by all.
He is survived his daughter Sharon Lamb of Broken Arrow, his son Terry Lamb of Grove, three grandchildren: Doug Harrison of Collinsville, Starla Ward and husband Joey of Broken Arrow and Matt Lamb of Arkansas, two great grandchildren, Simon and Brooklynn Ward. He was preceded in death by his wife Lula, his parents and his brothers and sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2023, at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
