Charles F. Williams

Charles Fletcher Williams was born on December 23, 1936, and left this world behind on January 9, 2024. 

Charlie was born and raised in Zena, Oklahoma.  He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea after the war.  After leaving the military, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he met and married Marilyn Rizzo.  They retired to Zena in 1999 after working more than 35 years for The Henry Valve Company.  Charlie and Marilyn were married for 60 years at the time of her passing in April of 2022. 

Together they built a family, bringing 4 children into this world James, Ray (Susan), Rose Ann (Victor) Rolon, Mark (Mena).  They were the proud Grandparents of Christopher, Charley (Vanessa), Antonella, Nicholas, Michael and Anthony, and loving Great-Grandparents, known as Grandma and Papa Tractor of Luka, Logan, Liam, Emelia, Ezra, and Alexander Joseph.  He was preceded in death by his sons James and Mark, and his beloved wife.  Charlie, as he was known to all who loved him, was born into a large family, and is survived by his siblings Sarah Jane Millspaugh of Jay, OK, Lee Roy Williams of Zena, Roberta Mitchell of Fulton, NY, and James R Williams.  The extended Williams family is full of Nieces, Nephews, and in-laws who all share fond memories of “Uncle Charlie”, always known to have time to help or talk whenever he was called upon.  He was also known to make the best ice cream around and host one heck of a family reunion on the 4^th of July. 

If you knew him, you loved him, and your life was blessed by him.  The family would also like to thank Kenny & Patti King and their family, as well as Sandy, Amelia, and Maggie Love for all the extra support they have provided over the years to help care for Uncle Charlie.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK.  Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Zena Baptist Church.  Charlie will be laid to rest at Zena Cemetery.
