Charles A. Cook, a lifetime resident of Turkey Ford, passed away on May 17, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Charles was born on June 1, 1936, and was one of three children of the late Elzie and Goldie (Rhodes) Cook. Charles graduated from Grove High School in 1954.
Charles's career began at B.F. Goodrich, where he contributed 35 years until the facility closed down. Following his tenure there, he embraced his passion for farming, dedicating countless hours that came with managing a dairy farm. He found great joy in his daily endeavors, cultivating not only the land but also cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
He is survived by his two daughters, Janet Cook and Diane Cook, both residing in Turkey Ford. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren: Angelica Delgadillo, Alexia Delgadillo, Carlos Delgadillo, and Genesis Arzate, as well as his great-grandchild, Isaac Lopez. Charles will be dearly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline Cook, who passed away in 2019, as well as his brother, Elmer Cook, who departed in 2020, and his sister, Kay Fields, who left us in May of this year.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay respects during the visitation at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the next day, Thursday, May 22, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. The legacy of Charles A. Cook will continue through the memories he created and the love he shared throughout his remarkable life.
