Barbara Woodall passed from this life on October 25, 2025, at home in Grove, Oklahoma.
Barbara Ann “Babs” Woodall (Hensley) was born on December 19, 1937, in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Willie A. Woodall and Ida C. Griggs Woodall.
Babs grew up in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico, attending school at LaJara Elementary, Creede Elementary and Albuquerque’s Ernie Pyle Junior High as well as McCurdy Mission School in Santa Cruz New Mexico, during high school.
She and Gen Hensley were married in 1953, in Taos, New Mexico, and to this union three children were born.
With perseverance, night classes at Centauri High School and Adams State University, and many extension courses, Barbara obtained her Associate of Arts in Accounting degree in 1978.
Babs enjoyed her life in the business world, starting with 10 years with Cal Gas Propane in LaJara and Alamosa, CO and continuing, (along with other positions) with time as high school secretary in Minneola, Kansas, Accountant at Sn Luis Valley Vocational School in Monte Vista, Colorado, Museum Store Manager at Boot Hill Museum in Dodge City, Kansas and ending with 17 years at Association Executive at Northeast Oklahoma Board of Realtors in Grove, Oklahoma.
She was baptized into the Evangelical United Brethren Church, later merged with the United Methodist Church which transitioned into the Church on the Hill in Grove, OK. There she volunteered at several positions including helping with the Holiday Market for UMW, the card ministry and assisting with weekly deposits. She also served on the finance committee and the board of trustees.
She was a member of UMW, later renamed United Women of Faith where she served several years as treasury auditor and 2 years as treasurer.
She is survived by her two sons, Ron Hensley and Bruce (Kathy), Hensley, both of Grove, four grandsons; Laramie (Heather) of South Carolina, Shawn of Colorado, Will and Matt (Brianna) of Grove. Seven great grandchildren; Kodie, Kort, Reagan, Rylee, Bently, Gabriella and Myanna Hensley. Her son from another mother, Alan (Sheila) Hornback of Minneola, KS and her bonus daughter Donna (Steve) White of Grove, eleven nieces and nephews and their extended families.
She was preceded in death by her parents Woody and Ida Woodall, her brother H.L. Woodall, two sisters Margie Rogers and Beth Holmes and baby daughter Barbara Jo Hensley.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Church on the Hill in Grove, Oklahoma.
