Anita Lynn Jackson, affectionately known as "Nita," was born on June 12, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She departed this life on April 28, 2025, at the Grove Nursing Center, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy of kindness and devotion to her family and friends.
Nita's career as a school bus driver for Tulsa Public Schools brought her immense joy and a sense of purpose. Anita was not only known for her dedicated service but also for her vibrant personality and varied interests. In her spare time, she enjoyed coloring, delving into a wide range of reading genres, and watching western movies. She took great pleasure in her unique collections of handkerchiefs, ink pens and nail clippers, showcasing her delightful quirks and passions.
A steadfast woman of Christian faith, she found comfort in her faith and shared that strength with those around her.
Nita is survived by her son, Jason Scott Jackson, his wife, Lisa and grandson Gage Allen Jackson of Broken Arrow; her brothers Timothy Jackson and his wife, Suzanne of Alabama, and Philip Jackson and his wife Nancy of Skiatook; her sister, Dana Tillery of Grove; and her best friend, Jana Hay and also Sandy Kauffman.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Jackson and Ethel Maxine "Max" (Spriggs) Jackson, as well as two brothers, David Jackson and Daniel Jackson, and a sister, Rita Robinson.
Visitation will be held on May 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, located at 711 S Main St, Grove, OK 74344. A funeral service will follow on May 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 400 S Main St, Grove, OK 74344. Nita will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Park cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
